Music in the Kitchen.

As you know, I’ve been studying Thomas Keller’s ad hoc at home cookbook ever since I got it for Valentines this year. In it’s lustrious pages, Keller shares his suggestions for tools and equipment. When he ends the section on page 10, Keller adds:

“And don’t forget music — music in the kitchen is an essential ingredient!”

I couldn’t agree more. Nothing gets me moving — or more concentrated — than a good song in the background.

I decided to share a few songs that have kept me cooking this week. This will be a regular feature on the blog. Every Friday I’ll post a few of my favorite songs of the week (old or new), please feel free to add your own inspiring kitchen accompaniments to the comment section.

As much as enjoying adding a tasty recipe to my collection, I also love discovering a great new song too.

My cooking friends this week:

Pull The House Down — by Stricken City

Zebra — by Beach House

Bulletproof — by La Roux

Happy listening!
