Friday Favorites: 3/19 – 3/23

Beautiful, customized MiniMe paper dolls. Photo from Lily and Thistle.

Ugh. Three members of our family (myself included) have been sickies this entire week. It’s been a miserable, stomach-in-knots kind of illness that has wrecked havoc our normal routine . . . and I’ve hardly cooked a thing. (Not that my belly wants anything but chicken noodle soup anyway.) Thank goodness for my new Friday Favorites motivation, at least I have some fun links to share.

1. Hannah from Lily and Thistle makes the most beautiful custom paper dolls. I should know, my little girl was gifted one that looked just like her for her birthday one year. These dolls are beautiful, I love them. Right now Hannah is raising money to publish a MiniMe paper doll coloring book. By pledging, not only do you help her achieve her goal, but she also throws in some great incentives too. (Like a PDF of the coloring book, outfits to print out, even a customized MiniMe doll!) Find out more here.

2. Has anyone used One Kings Lane for home furnishings? I just signed up, and fell head over heels in love with these blue bar stools. I pinned it here.

3. While I was at Target this morning picking up some probiotics for the kids, I spotted a sale on home furnishings. Until tomorrow, everything in that section is buy one get another half off, so I scored this cheery yellow flocked lamp shade for $10. So, some goodness came from this week of sickness anyway.

3. Only now, did I come across Caitlin Creer’s inexpensive and easy project for super chic x-stools. I think I may have to place a pair of recovered ones at the foot of my bed. Apparently when I’m not thinking about what to make for dinner, I contemplate ways to decorate my house.

Have a great weekend, and don’t get sick!
